Alvin,

Have you ever tried to recalibrate the Speedometer through tuning?

Have you ever tried adjusting the Road Speed Constant or the Instument Panel VSS Pulse Divisor?

I would think you could adjust the Road Speed Constant higher for a gear change. Stock the PCM is looking for 4000 pulses/mile. Why couldn't you increase the number of pulses per mile to compensate for a higher hear ratio. Would this have an affect on any other calculations?

What about the VSS Pulse Divisor? Have you ever adjusted this? What affects does it have?

thanks

Yep, the way they have it set up you can calibrate the speedo for about 6 different ratios numerically lower than 3.23

So you cant calibrate it for over 3.23?

Would increasing the Road speed Constant not compensare for a gear above 3.23?

Say 5000 pulses per mile instead of 4000.

nope

Road speed constant is for the datalogers calibration only

I was just looking through Tunercat today and those constants got me thinking.

Once on online order is turned in, how long does it usually take you for an email tune?

there has to be a way to put it in there... you would think, come on alvin all those brains on this and you cant figure it out... you created the built in 2 step...... is there no way to add a feature?? i guess that would be really hard to do, well if i get the money to do my 6 speed swap i will be shootin you an email to get that 2 step from ya...

A email tune takes about 6-12 hours to do..

The email tune will be a nice option for your car as it can use every bit of fine tuning

I just sent my order in for an email tune.
Looking forward to seeing your work.

Thanks.

Did you ever get the two-step working for an automatic car?

He's been trying this ever since I started getting tunes from him, way back in 2002. It's just not possible. If you want to throw some 2.73's in I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem though. :D

I actaully think it is possible.. I just haven't figured it out yet.
