i have been asking alot of questions and looking around and from what i have gathered i think i may have the main spark table right. im still finishing my tables before i test it. they say to add some spark across the board until you get knock retard, when you get knock take a degree back out until it goes away. and i have heard by adding spark you get more power out of the motor. and that you get better throttle response. is this true?? and do i have this concept right

I never add just a certain amount of timing to a timing table. The idea is to reshape the curve. Again I would suggest picking up a book on how to time old carb cars as there much to much to learn on this subject than I can type.
