We have 2 choices for Dyno, I need THOSE PLANNING TO PARTICIPATE to vote for which dyno to use:
Option 1
Horsepower House Dyno, located 5 miles from Corvette plant
Price: $35/car, WE STRAP THEM DOWN
PriceII: $50/car, THEY STRAP
this is a Dynojet 224x barrell type dyno with wideband O2 included
http://www.dynojet.com/automotive_dyno/224x_dyno/index.php
Option 2
Elite Spark Plugs portable, to be at Corvette plant (at event)
Price: $500/half day ($100 per car if we get 5 cars)
this is a Dynapack hydraulic dyno, I assume includes wideband (Alvin?)
http://www.dynapack.com/faq/default.asp
I need a detailed response from those planning to participate... feel free to ask more questions.

Doesn't matter.
I can strap if need be, I don't care.

Im going to be in need for a tune here in a couple weeks. With my business, its hard for me to say that Ill be able to make it or not but Id really like to come...not only to get the tune but to also be able to put some faces with the screen names. Ill have a better idea to if I can come or not as the 17th of Sept. gets closer but how soon are you needing a definate answer?
Also, am I the only one that thinks that dynopack thingy looks kinda hokey? lol If it matters, my vote would be for the Horsepower house and it doesnt matter about the stapping although it would probably be nice to have them do it since they are the pros.

I vote for Horsepower House, and I dont mind strapping my own car down. I would help strap others down also to save a buck. I rather it be on Thursday or Friday though. I'm going to be at the Drag strip on Saturday Racing.

Well, I have specific needs for my car that made the Dynapack worth it to me... but majority rules!
My "official vote" is for Elite (Dynapack).
However, I'm in no way upset by using the HP House.
Alvin says the Dynojet works just fine for tuning purposes.
I think we have clear majority at this point to use the HPHouse.
I'll touch base with Alvin by phone this weekend and get specifics as to what his "drop dead" date is for the deposits.
Remember guys, we have to get him the money in time to at least buy an airline ticket to Huntsville or Nashville.

Just curious, but why would you benifit more from the dynapack over the dynojet?
And I thought the price was $35 for the dyno not $50?

The dynapack allows steady state loading and varying load conditions, you can simulate (among many other things) putting along in traffic, which is an area my car needs some help.
I went with the more expensive Dynojet option of $50 where the HP House straps the car for us.
I do not want to spend the day strapping other people's car with no experience doing it... responsibility... you know.
Have a look at the links in the threads for more info on the differences in dynos.
Contact Danny (at HPHouse) directly if you want to discuss having some cars for $50 they strap, but your car for $35 and you strap it down.
His contact info is in the other links.

My bad, here is Danny's e-mail if you want to contact him directly about strapping your own car to save the bucks...

I was on dial-up at home and couldn't easily peruse the threads.

2 deposits that I know of... did you get my e-mail the other day?
I am rallying the folks to get with the deposits and make sure this happens.
We have 2 paid, 2 planning, and 1 maybe (and I would not bet on the maybe from what he's told me).
Alvin, 4 folks... how is this going to work?
