shift probs

ive already posted this in another section but..... my car in drive shifts at 3800 rpm and just doesnt pick up any power b/c max power is at what 5200? so it currently has a hypertech chip installed, could this be the prob? will a different type chip or program allow my car to pull to redline? something must be done

y do you need to redline??? anything past he max hp rpm is pointless.now ive been drinking a few "refreshments" so i may be way off. now i agree the hypertech chip sucks @$$,a pcmforless tune would be much better and if you give him your hypercrap chip im sure yall can work some thing out .
