I just got my PCM for less chip in the mail - i am installing the newly rebuilt engine on sunday.

My question is - should i install the chip now before starting the first time or after ( to make sure it starts and rule out any blame of the chip) ??

any comments?

cuz even it it runs like crud i still know it is capable or starting with the stock computer.

Can i hurt anything waiting to put in the chip and 160 thermo until after i hear it start the first time ?

I dont know why it would be a problem running off the new chip. I did it with no issues. Very rarely do people ever have issues with Alvins tunes. Most of the problems people think is the tune, end up being of problems like bad O2's or exhaust leaks, etc. etc.
