Which wire is the tach wire in my '94 trans am? Is it the white one coming out of B13 on the 'RED' harness? I'm asking because my damn shift light won't work and I need to confirm if I spliced into the right wire! Thanks......

you installing a stand alone light? I just did mine and spliced into the white/black stripe wire on the harness to the Ignition Module. Works good

Power on with the key? I was tapping into the pink accessory wire behind the radio, it read just about 11 volts with a multimeter. I was grounding in the engine bay, right next to the power steering fluid resevoir. Any pics of where the ignition control module is?
Thanks!!

hook the red to a fuse that has power that comes on with the key. The Ignition Module is on the head on the drivers side. It is the thing the coil is on.

I hooked mine to the white wire going to the factory tach. Much easier than running all the way out to the ICM.

That's what I did, just at the PCM, not at the tach. I don't know why the stupid thing don't work, it's got power, it's got ground, and it's got tach signal. Oh well, I give up.:(

Yeah, at the tach is easier, but i am actually too lazy to take the cluster out.. LOL Plus i have wires runniin up front for gauges, so i already had the hole. I put in a Proform Lite withthe dial. It is nice for the $$, and either it is off or my tach is. I am pretty sure my tach is cause last iem at State Inspection, they said to fast idle at 2500RPM and i had to get it to almot 3K to get tthir device to register 2500... I used my Dyno Sheet to get my "ideal" power point and dialed in the light to that rpm
