Have you tried a speedo recalibration chip on a 93 with a swapped cluster from a 97 by chance? I'm starting to thing that the 97 digital odometer clusters react differently to inputs than the 93 clusters do. Reason I ask is that I got my SLP speedo box working today only to discover that the odometer in the cluster doesn't want to register mileage anymore. May be related to the SLP box, may not, but gives me food for though. A 'what if' kind of thing. Thoughts?

if thats the case that would be a definate positive for the cluster swaps. i might actually consider doing one if it works that way. from what ive heard those boxes are nothing but a PITA

Oh trust me, they suck. I gotta wait until I get the new tq arm in before I can go back to work on the speedo thing unfortunately.
