So I have been experimenting with tunercat and data master after i got my 94 A4 up and running. and all was going well i removed the vats and the usual stuff. the car has developed and skip in closed loop. The left o2 is reading right around 1000-1100 at idle and drops back to around 300-400 (all this is Mv) when you bring it up to 1200rpms or so. the right o2 all the while is fine. both o2's are new and jump around speraticly just like they should but the car only runs rough and starts to skip in closed loop as soon as it trips the DTC 45 and goes into open loop it runs fine. I have unplugged the MAP and it smoothes out so i changed it and the problem still exists. I checked the o2's for shorts and all that other good stuff the opti is new. the only thing i can figure is that the car has been sitting for awhile 6+months and the injectors have junk in them and they are leaking. I am at my wits end with this car i just replaced the pcm in it yesterday because it died driving down the road for no reason and i could not get the laptop to communicate with the pcm so i replaced it and the car ran fine for a couple hours and than it started acting up. any input and suggestions i will greatly appreciate.

If you can send me a datalog I can look over it. Just off the top of my head it still sounds like a case of bad o2's.

thanks the car seems to be running fine now i filled it up again at a different gas station and put dry gas in it with some injector cleaner and drove it for about 30 minutes and it started to get better and now it seems fine i am gonna take it to work this morning and see what it does and i will let you know. I am interested in having you tune it when its all fixed what logs will benefit you guys the best to tune off of? WOT idle normal driving? thanks again i really appreciate it. I am running out of things to check according to the factory service manual. I may just take it to the dealer and have it over with. gona cost a freakin fortune though:mad:
